News 2002Boy River Hydrological Study Update Meeting August 28, 7:00 P.M.Dave Enblom, Cass County Engineer, has invited all who are interested to attend an informational meeting on the progress of the DNR's hydrological study of the upper Boy River. Date: Wednesday, August 28, 2002 Under an agreement reached last summer, this past year the DNR
has been studying the water flow from Ten Mile through the Boy River to Birch
Lake and on out through the Birch Lake outlet structure. The purpose of
the study is to determine the impact of water flow through river and,
particularly, the operation of the Birch Lake outlet structure on Ten Mile water
levels. At the meeting on the 28th, Mr. Enblom will introduce Kirk
English, Regional Hydrologist in Bemidji, and Dave Ford, Surface Waters Engineer
in the DNR's state office in St. Paul. Mr. Ford will bring attendees up to
date on the progress and discoveries of the study so far. He and Mr.
English will answer questions and welcome concerns and suggestions from
